The Ferrite (or Ferronite) is a highly advanced metal, made with pure iron in opposition to the old alloys, and enriched with iron nanocrystals which provides to the metal an incomparable strength. Was first discovered in the ancient Earth in AD 1988 and could be only made in a very small production. Centuries later, the Illyrians were able to produce it by tons.
Extraordinary expensive to manufacture, once cast cannot be easily reshaped like ordinary alloys, requiring instead the aid of the right equipment.
The Ferrite strength is essential for the structure of the mechs.
Acquiring Ferrite:
It is so easy to acquire ferrite, as you will be allowed to scratch many of the enemy mechs for both: Ferrite and Bioptics, through individual fights versus enemy squads or with the missions.
