There are two different type of Raids:
- Single player raids.
- Multi player raids.
Single player raids:
Those are the Boss Fights once you unlock them at Missions defeating each of the Minibosses.
If you do not finish in the alloted time, you can try again. Single Boss Fights can be repeated until you win.
Tips:
Keep doing all the missions as soon as they got unlocked, to get the Minibosses Niodes (within other resources) and unlock the Bosses.
Activate the Boss Fight only when you had plenty time to fight it. Usually you will have plenty time to defeat it, but if your Squad was not strong enough or you ran short on energy, you might face troubles and waste your energy for nothing.
Multi-player raids:
Those are the Clan Raids. After every Clan War, the Leader of each Clan receive a token to activate the Raid. The awards are better depending how good ranked got the Clan during the War, the Raids for Gold Medal get better posible drops with higher chances to drop and so.
If the Clan Raid couldn't be finished in the alloted time, it will be a failure, without any chance to repeat it.
Tips:
If you are the Clan Leader, place a cap so every member couldn't deal more damage than the perfect share of the Raid (The total mechs of the Raid divided by the number of members on your clan).
Remember to remove or raise the cap after a prudent time passed, or the Raid may be a failure if you don't gave to the players time enough to fight it.
As clan member, if there was not setted a cap, don't be greedy and allow to your fellows to reach also their targets, sharing the efforts. This is good to comunicate and get some agreement about the total casualties each one may deal.
Notes:
1. While both raids offer a good chance to acquire better stuff to improve your Squad with new crystal an elite mechs, weapons and equipment; the Clan Raid offers the better rewards.
2. The rewards are not automatic, but shows a menu with all the possible rewards and the percentage that each one recquiers to be obtained, once an specified amount of enemy mechs were eliminated by the player.
