5. The Mechs

Mecha or a Mech (short for Autonomous Mechanic Combat Units) is a giant armored robot, controlled by a pilot from a cockpit that fully connects with the mech systems and controls. These titans, originally created as huge working tools in large mining prospecting and building, soon began to be produced for the military industry, as mobile, versatile and devastating weapons of war .

They rapidly replaced any armored vehicle and infantry campaign unit that became obsolete against the Mech Squads.

There are many different types of mechs classified by:

1. Their tonnage:

  • Light (10 – 25 tonnage)
  • Medium (30 – 50 tonnage)
  • Heavy (55 – 75 tonnage)
  • Huge (80 – 85 tonnage)
  • BFM (90 – 100 tonnage)
Big "Ferking" Monster. Used to describe, in gamer terms, a creature that is unreasonably large or powerful.

2. Their structure composition:

  • Elite (Niode built)
  • Common (Crystal built)

3. The weaponry focus they have:

  • One weapon focus: mechs that focus on a single weapon type (like Cindrons, Infernos, Gigus and Ignis, who focus on fire weapons, or Nifthel, Freon and Jotuns, who focus on Ice weapons). The Pro of those is a significant boost to their chosen damage, the contra is that are so predictable and a smart enemy could switch shields to turn his Squad almost immune to your single damage type.
  • Coupled: mechs who combine two different weapons type.
  • Rainbow: Mechs who rely in many different weapon damage enhancement (Like the Luison, Vizi and others, who boost almost every different weapon damage)
  • Polyvalent/ Universal: Mechs that avoid boosting a weapon type, but enhancing the threat instead (skills like double o triple damage, Crit kill, trample, etc). Pros: Those mechs are unpredictable by the enemy, who will require one or more engagements to analyze your combat style and tactics.
